The Western Crosstrail 9" Fixed Blade Knife strikes a perfect balance between its stylized aesthetic and functional capabilities. Featuring a 4.25" Titanium Bonded 420 Steel Blade, the Crosstrail offers an economic balance between hardness and corrosion resistance for use in a range of diverse conditions. To further enhance the strengths of the blade, the Crosstrail is bonded with titanium. This adds extra resistance to rust and corrosion while also making the blade up to 3x harder than untreated steel. Not only that, but the extra hardness affords exceptional edge retention as well. The handle is made of Delrin, an extremely durable and stable crystalline plastic used to resemble stag or antler. In other words, the Crosstrail boasts the look and feel of an antler-made handle without compromising structural integrity. A convenient sheath and belt loop are included with the Crosstrail as well for effective storage. Also backed by our Lifetime Warranty, the Crosstrail will make for an iconic collectors item and functional fixed blade for any task.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice and functional blade The knife its self is very will made. Holds and edge quit well and I very good for all around hunting needs. I used the knife to cut small limbs and brush and generally clear a path for hunting stands and suck. Skinning it easy to do with this knife too. I am partial to leather seats but the nylon is good to though hard to get the knife back in and secured with one hand. Sharpening was also difficult due to the blade having such a large belly it curves up too much at the back of the blade for my wet stone thought with a belt sharpener is was much easier. Lastly I am sure it is an aesthetic choice but one grip was just a few mm thicker than the other. Small differance but still noticeable. All in all a great hunting or all around backpack knife that I would recomend to a friend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice traditional looking knife Nice knife with just the right size blade and feels good in the hand too. I like the traditional look of the knife with the bone handles, that’s why I got it. I wish the sheath would have had a more traditional look to it. All in all , nice hunting knife. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool looking knife that is sharp and strong. The first thing I noticed is the handle that looks like a cool old-time antler handle. However, it is a tough composite that provides a sure grip and comfort. The blade is big and sharp and the knife comes with a nice sheath for protected carry and storage. It is super sharp and hold a good edge. The handle has a small hole for dining a lanyard. This knife looks and performs like it should cost twice as much. It is a great knife for only about 20 bucks. Did I mention it comes with a lifetime warranty?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy with Outdoors Appeal! Very nice, medium sized blade, with a full-length tang by Western. Their Crosstrail Fixed Blade Knife has a large grip that I really like. The Crosstrail Knife comes with an attractive nylon sheath with a leather accent. Should be a long-lasting knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value Good knives don't have to break the bank. This knife, with its full tang, removable handle scales and machined jimping for your thumb gives great value to modest cost. A great starter knife for a beginning woodsman or woodswoman.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Modern Knife with Classic Looks Don't let the price fool you. This knife is no cheapie. The blade is unquestionably sharp as with other Camillus knives I've carried and used. This one has a solid feel to it with just enough heft to wield it through the toughest chores. Looks good too. It has the classic hunting knife design and rugged looks. The Delrin handle material is durable and the texture affords a secure grip on the handle. Overall, I'm a big fan of the drop point blade and the 420 titanium bonded stainless steel is no exception, with just the right curves, cuts, and width. Moreover, the bonding creates a blade with a hardness that stays sharp longer. The lanyard hole is a bonus feature that allows the user to adapt the knife for camping, bushcraft, and outdoor survival applications. This knife comes with a lifetime warranty from Camillus. Finally, the knife is carried in a handsome brown ballistic nylon sheath with a leather accent. This knife will definitely be a part of my hunting gear this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful knife I do not usually care for bone handles on my knives but this knife is great, good balance and feels good in my hand. Full gang and heavy blade. Will have to get another one just to keep in my vehicle. You never have enough good knives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid knife The Camillus Western Crosstrail is a very stout well made knife. It should hold up to many years of hard use. The only downside is that it is a bit on the heavy side but that attribute also provides for it's heavy duty nature.

Questions

I know these used to be made in Boulder, CO. I owned several of them growing up still have mine from HS, the 70's. Are they still USA made or are they made overseas, like so many products are now.

Asked by: CO Native

what is the accurate weight (without sheath)? how thick the blade? is the blade really 3.75inch? on a 9 inch knife? in the picture the proportion to handle looks almost equal, sure its not longer blade? thanks

Asked by: Raul
- 5.7 oz is the weight of the knife alone. - We measure the blades per the AKTI standards which states “the measurement shall be the straight line extending from the tip of the blade to the forward-most aspect of the hilt or handle.” Given the shape of this handle/hilt, it does cause the blade size to appear smaller than it actually is. If you measure the cutting edge in a straight line it is closer to 4”. - The blade is 3.75mm/.1475” thick
