Rated 5 out of 5 by Staticjm from Great Knife! Love this knife. It's a great camping/hunting and all around knife. I have used it at home for breaking down cardboard boxes and various other things. I have also used it to baton firewood at a camp site and feather wood for kindling as well as various other things in the camp. Preparing food...etc. The blade is a good size and stays sharp. The rubber handle has good traction and is comfortable in hand. It has a full tang and seems very sturdy. The sheath is nylon with a snap to secure the knife. It also has a plastic insert to keep you from cutting through the sheath or from pushing the knife through it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hoggiesan from Great beefy knife I got this knife and have been working it over pretty well. It's a keeper. Solid feel in hand, cleans easy and maintains an edge. I like it as a carry knife while in the fields. My wife now wants one. I provided 3 photos (I am not a photographer) attempting to show the blade thickness. A competitor brand uses 3 US Quarters so that's what I did, to so thickness. You can see the knife is full tang and thickness is true the full length. Great quality and good price. Well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Abraxialflame from A good knife at a great price Lets start out being honest. This isnt a GREAT knife, but it IS a GOOD knife. And its a steal at its price. The balance is good, the blade handles well, its comfortable, has a nice heft, and it has a nice edge. I just wish it came with a better sheath. Maybe kydex? But hey, at this price? So what.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike4587a from Sturdy Knife The knife is sharp and is full tang and fits well in my hand and grip does not seem slippery like some knives but have not used it other than basic camping. I would say the only area for improvement is the sheath as it is just ok and difficult to snap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Victor from Great All-Around Survival Tool When you're in survival mode, you need a knife your can depend on. A knife is one of the most vital tools you'll ever need out in the wild as it fulfills a variety of functions, from building shelter, hunting game, food preparation, improvising tools and equipment, and for self-defense. When you grip the handle of the Western Black River 9" fixed blade survival knife by Camillus, you get that feeling of confidence - that it will be up to the tasks that will keep you going in a pinch. Its 3.75" full tang drop point blade is made of titanium bonded stainless steel, making it stronger to withstand abuse and keep its edge longer. The old paper test proved that the blade is also razor-sharp. It sliced through a sheet of heavy stock glossy paper with minimal effort. The spine jimping is well situated for getting extra leverage and better control. The rubberized non-slip handle with its finger groove and light checkering will give any user a firm grip and direct the blade as needed. It also comes with a lanyard hole at the butt end for securing the knife or improvising with it. The package is completed with a sturdy black nylon sheath with "Western", "Titanium", and "Black River" proudly embroidered on it. This knife is a tough, do-all survival tool that will be a great addition to your bug-out bag, strapped to your belt on an extended camp out, or to your backpack as you explore the wild country. Wear it with confidence.
