The Camillus 7.5" Folding Knife features an integrated Marlin Spike, Bamboo Handle and AUS-8 Steel components. The AUS-8 component steel offers exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. Additionally, the steel is bonded with Carbonitride Titanium to provide an added layer of unparalleled rust and corrosion resistance. The same treatment also makes the components up to 10x harder than untreated steel, affording exceptional strength and edge retention over time. Featuring a robust dual locking system as well, the Marlin Spike can be locked into place when not in use. When in use, it can help loosen knots with ease. In addition it can be used for unlaying rope and completely untying knots. Backed by our Lifetime Warranty as well, this bastion of versatility would make a fine addition to any outdoorsman's gear kit or fisherman's tackle box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Spike lock broke knife I received this knife as a gift. It is a beautiful piece and is comfortable in the hand. The black coating of the metal parts presents a striking contrast against the bamboo handles and the laser engraved "Camillus" logo looks great. The sheepfoot blade opens so smoothly that I couldn't believe it. The locking mechanism for the Marlin Spike is very, very stiff. After only a few tries, the combination lanyard loop/lever which disengages the lock collapsed into the frame and spread the frame apart. After experiencing the separation of the frame, I felt the knife was unsafe for use and have returned it for replacement. Fortunately the piece comes with a lifetime warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problem with the Camillus Marlin Spike knife I just bought my 4th of these knives in the past 2 years. I race on a Flying Tiger 10 meter and do ocean passages on other sailboats. Every boat I'm on, the skipper and other crew borrow my Camillus knife all the time. I just gave away my 3rd when leaving Galapagos. A crew member wanted it. The skipper already had my 2nd. So I had to buy another. The knife just works for everything from breaking a knot to opening a shackle if it has a hole to get the marlin spike in. I think some of my knives hold a better edge. But nothing I own handles the corrosive sea water as well. I just wish I could keep one long enough to address longevity or possibly claim the lifetime warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this knife about fifteen years ago and have loved it ever since. I bought it for my boat but have used it everywhere. It is very tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it I've had this for almost a year and saved the package because the other reviews had me worried. Over the past year I have not really had any problems with mine. The knife looks feels and works great. From time to time the screws loosen but they easily tighten right back up. The only problem I've really see is that Camillus does not use a picture of the actual knife. On the real one the marlin spike release is circular and there are actual screws not just metal circles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shocked at current reviews I was shocked to see these reviews my original was wearing out after about 30 years of use and a friend wanted one after using my second replacement knife that probably 5-7 years old. These knives have always been indestructible and very handy and the company warranty was great and a lifetime warranty I'm really sad to see these new reviews I'll still get my friend obe but how sad if Nother great tool gas been ruined by cheap copies

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good knife, useful Didn't actually buy this knife. I found it on the ground near a marina and decided to pick it up. Works really well, I've used the marlinspike for untying knots and fixing my bike in a desperate pinch. The blade is still sharp after four years of use (by me, uncertain how many before).

hi, I own the ITEM# 18589 knife with titanium blade and marlinspike. How should the knife edge be restored if it dulls? Can I use a stone?

Asked by: Debbi
Sharpening stones such as the ones provided by our DMT sharpeners would work to sharpen our Camillus knives. We also recommend looking for local knife sharpening services if in need of assistance for sharpening.
