Camillus Les Stroud S.K. Path Fixed Blade Saw

The Camillus Les Stroud S.K. Path Fixed Blade Survival Saw has a Carbonitride Titanium coated 440 Stainless steel blade with a Rubber and Stainless Steel handle. 440 is a stainless steel with a terrific balance between hardness and corrosion resistance. 440 takes a nice edge and is fairly easy to resharpen. An excellent value-priced steel for its performance. Good toughness and stain resistance. Included is a Ballistic Nylon Sheath, Ballistic nylon is a thick, tough, synthetic nylon fabric that protects against debris and other foreign materials. It is commonly used for making sheaths. Titanium Bonded is not painted or plated, but an application of a unique formulation of titanium and chromium nitride to the surface of cutting blades that actually penetrates and treats the metal to create a permanent bond. The patented Titanium Bonding process provides the following benefits; corrosion resistance, adhesive resistance and the process itself makes the stainless steel 3x harder than untreated stainless providing a blade that stays sharper longer.
