The Camillus LK6 6" Folding Knife features a versatile, 2.5" Drop Point blade. The blade is made of D2 steel and is also bonded with titanium to provide an added layer of resistance to rust and corrosion. Plus, the bonding makes the blade up to 3x harder than untreated steel so the it can keep its edge far longer than traditional knife blades. The base D2 blade material is an air-hardened tool steel is sometimes called a "semi-stainless" steel because of its 12% chromium content. This way, you can have an added layer of corrosion resistance on top of the exceptional edge retention from the titanium bonding process. Though it is harder to sharpen than most, it can still be finished to a high-polish shine with some added effort. All in all, this steel offers exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. To compliment the LK6's versatile blade, the handle is made of an extremely durable makeup of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin called G10, which is then highly compressed and baked. Once compressed and baked, G10 becomes impervious to moisture or liquid and gains unwavering physical stability under rapidly shifting climate conditions. The knife also features a frame lock for secure storage when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Stout and Sturdy The blade on this handy little knife is 2.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide at it's widest point. The blade is also thicker than most 'normal' pocket knives, so it's a rather beefy strong blade. The drop-point shape with the wide curved edge makes this a great hunting knife for skinning and general use. The bolsters and handle has a lot of metal as well, with hard textured plastic on one side, and a metal belt clip on the other. All the metal on this knife leads to a very solid feeling with a good grip, but does make for a bit of heaviness for such a small knife. I was impressed with the machining and craftsmanship in that nothing felt loose or flimsy, overall a super solid feeling knife. The shape of the handle lends itself to a grip most useful for gripping the blade between thumb and forefinger, like you would for fine control while skinning. All in all a great compact folding hunting knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet knife! I got mine from Walmart and paid only $15 so I was thinking it was a, "cheap" knife but I must say after taking two sessions sharpening it I was pleasantly surprised that it was in fact harder to sharpen than any of my other knives for the same price. Sweet knife!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice A little small for me , but real nice little knife , bearing system is super smooth , opens lightning quick , d2 steel , glad camillus is using these nicer materials , d2 is a much better steel than the average run of the mill 400 series or 8cr13mov ,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small Knife, Big on Features and Value! Straight out of the package, the first thing that strikes you about the Camillus LK6 is its heft. For a knife with only a 2.5-inch blade and an overall length of 6 inches, its weight feels quite similar to some of my larger folders. Whether that is a positive or a negative comes down to personal preference. For me, the substantial heft gives the knife a good solid feel and balance in my hand, so it’s definitely a plus. The bearings on this knife are fantastic. For a hot second after I hit the flipper lever the first time, I thought the knife was assisted (It’s not. The action is just that smooth and light). The G10 layer on one side of the handle provides great positive grip, along with the dual finger grooves (one at the base of the blade, forward of the handle/frame, and one built into the frame). The blade is D2 steel bonded with titanium, a feature claimed to increase hardness and provide greater edge retention. The blade is, of course, perfectly sharp out of the box. It made light work of some 550 paracord I used to attach a new sling to my AR. I’ll hopefully do a long-term review down the road. The titanium bonding does make it tougher to sharpen the blade, but I think it will be well worth the trade-off for edge retention. The frame lock is nice and chunky. It’s a little stiff to unlock at first, but that means you know that blade’s not going anywhere once the lock is engaged. Safety first, right? One downside on this knife: I wish there was just a touch more space between the clip screws and the clip itself. When clipping it onto the pocket of my jeans, the screws snag the pocket before the clip is fully seated, requiring a little wiggling. But that’s a pretty tiny complaint, honestly. The LK6 is definitely my new go-to option when I want to carry something a little on the smaller side. Especially for the price-point, this knife strikes a great balance between blade toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Add to that the fact that Camillus offers a lifetime warranty and it’s hard to find a reason NOT to buy this knife.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality I found this knife to be more of a gentleman's blade except its a little bit heavier than it should be. Quality is top notch with a strong blade and an ergonomic grip. The blade has a nub on the back side to assist the opening which is a a plus.Overall this is a sleek everyday carry blade that will prove useful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very small but comfortable for larger hands. I have larger hand but this small knife fit in them very well. the figure cut out in the handle and choil in the blade was just big enough to accommodate my index figure. if there was something i would like to see fixed it would the the sharp edges around the liner lock where it was cut out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the size and comfort of this knife! I have never owned a knife with this type of construction before. It really makes a difference on the handling with it being a wider handle. I feel like I have more control while using it. I think that I will be looking for more Camillus knives similar to this one in the future.

Hi. I'm sorry but I'm just a little confused about the LK6. I've been seeing this knife everywhere being described as having a D2 blade but the packaging says that the blade is 440. Is there actually a D2 version?

Asked by: Kgallardo075
There is both a D2 and 440 version. The 440 version is exclusively sold at Walmart; all others have the D2 blade.

Is there any way that I can buy a large number of the LK6 pocket knife with everything except the blade. Also, what would the price be?
